Adam lived in a garden. As he walked in the garden he saw it was good. There were no thorns in the garden. There was nothing in the garden to hurt him. He was happy. He could eat all the food he wanted. He could eat when he wanted to eat. He could sleep when he wanted to sleep. He could work when he wanted to work. He was not afraid. There was nothing to make him afraid. He did nothing wrong.

Because he was the only man in the world he could not talk to people. He could not talk to people because there were no other people in the world. There were no people to talk to him. He could not talk to people, but he could talk to God. God talked to Adam, and Adam could answer him. When Adam had a question God could give him an answer.

(b) Text:

The first man in the world was called Adam. He had no parents. Where did he come from? This is a question. Here is the answer to that question. Adam was made by God. God made Adam.

God made everything. He made everything in the world. He made everything in the sky. He made everything in the sea. The sun was made by God. The moon was made by God. God made them all. He made everything on the earth. He made the animals, the fish and the birds. Animals walk on the earth. Fish swim. Fish swim in the water. Birds fly. God made the birds that fly in the sky.

When God had made all these things, then he made a man. The man was made of dust. God used the dust of the earth to make the man. God took dust and made a man.

God made the man different from the birds. God made the man different from the fish. He made the man different from the animals. The animals had four legs. The animals walked on the earth on four legs. Adam walked on the earth, but Adam was different from the animals. He looked different from the animals. He was not like them.

God made Adam upright. The man was upright. God wanted the man to be like him. Because God made the man like him he made Adam upright. The animals walked on four legs, but Adam stood upright and walked on two legs.

God gave life to the animals, and he gave life to Adam. The life he gave to Adam was different from the life he gave to the animals. Why was the life he gave to Adam different? Listen for the answer to this question. Look out for the answer to this question.

(b) Text:

The first man was made by God. His body was made by God. God made Adam's body. Everything in the world was made by God.

The animals were made by God. He made their bodies. He made the sheep. He made the sheep's body. He made the horse. He made the horse's body. He made the lion. He made the lion's body. God made the bodies of the man and of the animals. The man was different from the animals. Why was the man different from the animals?

Here is the answer to that question. We give the answer here.

God made Adam's body. Then God did something more. God breathed into Adam. God made Adam's body, and then God breathed into it. The breath of God was breathed into Adam. God's breath was in Adam. This gave Adam a soul.

When God breathed into Adam, then Adam had a soul. God gave Adam a soul. The man had a body and a soul. With his body he saw things on the earth. With his body he felt things on the earth. With his body he knew things here on the earth. He saw the trees and the mountains. He saw the animals and the birds. He looked up and saw the sun, the moon and the stars. He felt the trees and the earth. He could touch the bodies of the animals.

With his body he knew the things that God had made. With his soul he knew God. He could not see God, but with his soul he could know God. He was different from the animals because he could know God.

Sheep, horses, dogs, lions, all have bodies. God made many other animals, and they all had bodies. God made only one man. He gave the man a body, and he gave the man a soul. The animals could not know God, but Adam could know God because he had a soul.

God talked to Adam. God heard Adam talk to him. What did God say to Adam? Look out for the answer to the question, "What did God say to Adam?"

In the garden were many trees. There was fruit on the trees. The trees were fruit trees. There were many fruit trees in the garden.

The fruit was beautiful. It was also good to eat. Adam saw the trees and he also saw the fruit. He tasted the fruit. It tasted good. He liked the taste of the fruit.

There was plenty of food in the garden. God said to Adam, "There is plenty of fruit for you to eat. Eat as much as you like. I do not want you to be hungry. When you feel hungry, eat the fruit."

There was no need for Adam to be hungry. He was never hungry. He was never in need of food. He did not work to get food. He did not work because he needed food. He worked because he liked working.

Adam worked in the garden. He heard the wind in the trees. He saw the fish swim in the water. There was plenty of water in the garden. He liked to listen to the birds singing. Everything looked good in the garden.

God said to Adam, "You may eat what fruit you like. You may eat the fruit of all the trees but one. The fruit of that one tree is not good for you. You must not eat the fruit from that tree."

Adam saw the tree. It was in the garden. He saw it, but he did not eat the fruit. There were many other trees, and there was always more fruit than he could eat. There was also plenty of food for the animals and the birds. They were never hungry. God said Adam could eat from all the fruit trees but one. That tree was different from the other trees. Why was it different? Listen for the answer. Look out for the answer to that question. The answer will be given.

The tree was the tree of knowledge. Some knowledge is good. God gave Adam knowledge that was good. Adam had more good knowledge than the animals. He knew more than the birds, the animals and the fish. God gave him power over them. He put the man over the birds, the animals and the fish.

God brought the animals to Adam. When God brought the animals to Adam he said, "Give them names. Name the animals." Adam named the animals. God gave Adam his name, but Adam gave the animals their names. The animals did what Adam told them to do. Adam did what God told him to do. He knew what God wanted him to do, and he did it.

Adam also knew what God did not want him to do. God told him what he must not do. He must not eat the fruit of one of the trees. God said, "Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of what is good and what is bad. What is bad will hurt you. If you eat the fruit of that tree, you will die."

Adam believed God. Adam obeyed God. He knew that it was right to obey God. He obeyed God, and he was happy. He was kind to the animals. He knew their names, and when he told them what to do they obeyed him. God told Adam what to do, and Adam obeyed God. God called Adam by his name, and Adam was happy when he heard God call his name.

All was at peace. The animals were at peace with Adam. They obeyed him, they did not hurt him, and he was kind to them. Adam was at peace with God. He obeyed God, and God loved him. God wanted Adam to be happy. God gave Adam joy. He did not tell him there was more joy to come. God knew what he would do to give Adam more joy, but he did not tell Adam. The joy was to come. God made the animals before he made the man. Animals were made before man, but God made the man better than the animals. The power of the animals was in their bodies. It was different from the power in the man. The power of the man was not only in his body. The power of the man was also in his mind. Adam thought with his mind. He could make a plan in his mind. In his mind he could make a plan. He made plans. He planned what he would do, and then he did it. He saw how things could be done. He thought about how to do things before he did them. What he thought came before what he did.

God made many animals and many birds, but only one man. There were no other men and there were no women in the garden.

Adam was alone. He never saw a human being. He never heard a human voice. He heard the birds sing, but his was the only human voice to sing in the garden.

The man was happy. He did not hurt the animals. He did them no harm. He was kind to them, and they were not afraid of him.

God loved Adam. God loved everything that he had made, but more than all he loved Adam. He gave Adam food that tasted good. Adam was never sick. He was never hungry. There was nothing to make him angry, and he was never bad.

God wanted Adam to have joy. He wanted Adam to enjoy his life. He did not want Adam only to enjoy his food. God saw that Adam needed a human friend. God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone." Adam was alone with the animals. God did not want him to be like the animals. God saw what Adam needed, and he planned to give him what he needed. With a human friend he would enjoy life more than ever before. God had a plan for Adam. It was a good plan. Look out for God's plan for Adam.
